My passion was creating comic book superheroes, but I didn’t think it was possible for a kid from the inner city to earn a living having such fun.
After many years as a graphic designer, handing all the illustration assignments over to freelancers, I decided to become one of them.
Now I do concept art, digital painting and illustration work out of my home in northern California.
I help individuals as well as small and medium sized companies in entertainment, games and anywhere VISUAL storytelling is needed, take their message from concept to fully rendered reality.
In addition to my skill set as a self-taught artist, I’ve logged hundreds of hours of art tutorials and participated in workshops and online art courses. My portfolio is growing steadily as I’ve added art commissions, weapons design and consultation for game developers, visual development work for animated shorts and a successfully funded Kickstarter art book. I work both digitally and with traditional mediums. I also have some familiarity incorporating 3D models into my work-flow using programs like Sketch-up, Blender and Sculptris.
